Elton John
Elton John, the pop superstar was born March 25, 1947. During the early 70's, Elton John was the biggest pop artist in terms of sales and lasting popularity. Elton had such mega hits as "Your Song," "Rocket Man," "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me." Unlike many pop stars, Elton was able to sustain his popularity, charting a Top 40 Single every year from 1970 to 1996.
But Elton John had a dark side, he was a homosexual. In 1992, John established The Elton John AIDS Foundation after having lost many of his personal friends to the terrible disease. While his humanitarian effort is certainly noteworthy, Elton John continues to promote the spread of AIDS with his homosexual lifestyle. Recently, he did that which was most disgraceful, as other homosexuals had done, he married another man, David Furnish in England where such marriages now is considered legal.
Listen, the God of this universe hates homosexuality. Jehovah God Himself said it in Leviticus 18:22 which reads, "Thou shall not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination." God hated homosexuality so much that those caught in the act would be put to death as recorded in Leviticus 20:3, "If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them."
You may say, that was then. Today is a new day, things have changed. Although society today is more opened to homosexuality does not make it right. God has not changed. And please don't tell me about the rising numbers of homosexual ministers (so called) in the churches. They obviously are not ministers of the true God. Homosexuality was an abomination thousands of years ago, and today God says it's still an abomination. "I am the Lord, I change not;" Malachi 3:6
The Lord God says when men seek men, and women seek women, they're seeking after strange flesh. "Even as Sodum and Gomarrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." Jude 7.
Homosexuality is SIN whether you want to believe it or not! So often I hear, "If homosexuality is wrong, then why do I have these desires since God created us to have sexual desires." That's a great question and here's the answer: People have those type of sinful desires or tendencies because mankind was born with a debased, corrupt nature. And that goes all the way back to the first man, and the representative of all mankind, Adam. Adam's sin of disobedience in the garden of Eden cursed all that was right and pure in mankind. God never created man to have a sexual appetite for the same sex. But Adam's disobedience not only created ungodly desires for strange flesh, but also ungodly desires to kill, steal, rape, lie and so forth. Desires to sin!
But God provided a remedy to Adam's sin of disobeidience in the garden; He provided His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. "For As by one man's (Adam) disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one (Jesus Christ) shall many be made righteous. Romans 5:19.
God promised that He would send a Savior to clean up the mess Adam had caused within entire human race. Jesus Christ was that Savior. God manifested in the flesh, came down from heaven to die on the cross for all of our sins. "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
Please understand, this website is not about Elton John, the chances of him seeing it is highly unlikely. This site is about YOU! What are you going to do about your sin condition? "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 tell us. You are a sinner, and if you refuse to accept what Christ did for you on the cross, having died for your sins, when you die you will die in your own sins. "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23.
Dying in your own sins mean that you chose to pay the penalty yourself. It also means that you will spend eternity in the pit of hell. You say that you don't believe that hell stuff? Whether you want to believe it or not won't make it go away, it'll still be there awaiting your arrival immediately after death.
Get saved, my friend. Give your heart to the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Elton John has to stand before God in judgement one day for his sins, not just the sin of homosexuality, but for every single sin he ever comitted. And one day you will also. But if you're saved from your sins, heaven, rather than hell will be your final destination.
"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit." Romans 8:1
